For our 3rd card review  on WS@NK-DS.org, we look into one of the cards from the latest expansion set Lucky Star. This may not be the most expensive card you have ever seen at the moment, but there are some pretty interesting abilities in this card such as.. +50 SOULS! Yes, make no mistakes about what you see!

Pretty plain ..it still doesn’t appeal as much compared to other cards. Nothing much other then a standard character CG from Yoshimizu

STATS AND ABILITIES

This card has a standard 1 Level 1 Cost, 1 Soul and 6000 Power for Yellow. This isn’t such a broken stats but it is due to the second ability of this card which makes this card very playable.

The first ability for Miyuki, when this card is being played, she gains +50souls . Logically we understood this card as a deck breaker. Naturally, having 51 Soul damage will definitely result in a Damage Cancel. However, by attacking with such a massive damage, you get to reducing the chances for anyone to draw their key cards, force your opponent to Refresh earlier, reduce the chance for Damage Cancel, well you know the rest.

Now, lets look at what we can do to make this card more efficient. P3/ S01-06T/U Shadow Time (影時間) enables you to return a character to hand and returns an enemy character to hand. This will enable you to use the card ability once more by playing it again to the field. Although Shadow Time is a Level 2 card, Miyuki will definitely have no problem surviving till then with it’s second ability.

As mentioned, the second ability is what makes this card highly playable. The ability allows you  to revive this card after it is attacked, or destroyed  by abilities, keeping the Stage Presence healthy. This card is also the first L1/C1/6000 card with Encore ability.

Also, In Lucky Star series , there are cards that  play Trait specialized combos.  For instance . LS/W05-020/U Battle Mode (戦闘モード), where one of your character gains +Power bonus equals to the amount of characters with traits <Glasses>,which includes this card itself. This allows this Level 1 card to survive a fight with level higher than itself.

If you were still hesitating on the card’s potential, try looking around for Level1 characters with Encore. Most of them have a big fat juicy negative draw backs which might be unfavorable or rather low Power stats. Putting the first ability aside, what else can you ask for a Level 1, Cost 1, Power 6000 character with Encore?

OVERALL (NOT AN AVERAGE): 7.5/10
Miyuki is strong enough to stand alone and remain in control for a level 1 character. Which also proves her use in most beatdown decks where u keep attacking with every bits of resources you have and keeping your Stage healthy.
