Our fourth card review on WS@NK-DS is a RR from Shining Force EXA. Extremely brutal and effective Level 3 Character that sends crushing blows to the enemy.

This card is a 3D render. WTF?! Yes this is an actual scene from the game. Other then that, the colour scheme of the card, with Riemsianne’s fiery hand  and warm backgrounds are good compliments to the red colour scheme.

Other then that, a rather simple card design of a closeup of the character and you can even see the pixalation on the dress… Ughhh…

STATS AND ABILITIES

This character is a Level 3 with a good stat of 10000 Power and 2 Souls. However, it’s stats are Excellent if it’s a “Level 2″

First of all, during the process of the game, any player will bound to have certain occasions when damage are cancelled. In fact, all the time. There are also times when Climaxes are sent to the stock. So why how does this change the way this card work?

Well it’s simple really. Get the Climax cards out fast, and you’ll be able to dish out a hell of a time for the opponent once you hit Level 2. And guess what? It becomes Level 3 once it hits the Stage. Most abilities can only affect up to Level 2 Characters. Talk about evasion.

So how do you make sure you have a good number of Climax cards in your Waiting Room? First of all, be open to attack. You’ll love heavy punishment. You’ll love dishing out on your opponent damage too so you’ll be using your Climax cards a lot. A deck built in the Shining Force series allows your Level 0 / 1 Characters to gain and incredible amount of Power  when there are  at least one empty Character border. This might seem like a loophole for damage but it is also a unique masoschist play style which can allow you to run your deck faster or cancel as much damage as possible.

Also, Shining Force decks have quite a number of Climax card tutoring abilities such as SE/S04-01 Girl of Many Riddles Cyrille ( 謎多き少女シリル) which allows you to search Climax cards from your deck and use it as a continuous loop, tutoring and tutoring for the same Climax Cards. Once you hit the requirement, it’s probably close to Level 2 already.

Upon hitting Level 2, this card is liable to play if you have 6 or more Climax cards in your Waiting Room. By standard play game speed, this is already possible without any use of tutoring or aceleration. Once this card hits the Stage, your opponent will be staring down a Level 3 10 000 Power Character, not to mention any additional buffs available in Shining Force and Disgaea that boosts Demon and Royalty cards.

But wait, there’s more, upon playing the card onto the field, you get to take one damage you Clocked and put that card in your Waiting Room. That is a great ability considering it’s near mid/end game where every damage taken is important.

REVISION:

After long term consideration as well as further investigation in the tournament decklists, it is even easier to activate it’s minu level ability. With Sailor Fuku Siesta and Ogawa De Asobo!, it is even easier to pull the ability off.

As it is Level 3, cards with abilities which ASSIST cards in front with Power +X, where X is 500 x Level of the Character card, such a Character card will gain heavy boost, making it a barrier that is incredibly hard to surpass (13000 at maximum).

OVERALL (NOT AN AVERAGE): 9.2/10

A truely masoschist styled playing style will bring about the true power of the Demons, is probably what i can say about this card. It is Not Funny staring down at this extremely powerful Character card at Level 1 or 2 and it’s certainly not funny when the opponent has 3 of them. This card can definitely give any Yellow/Green power cards a run for it’s money with it’s advanced summoning as well it’s huge attacking Power.
