Two days before WS@NK-DS hosted it’s very first big gathering for the card game WS @ SMU from 12pm onwards. It was a great success, despite the disappointment that there were not enough participating players for the tournament.

Promptly beginning at 12pm, the NK-DS crew arrived at 11.30pm with all stocks, spare mats, ruling sheets and albums for the day. The decks were swiped even before 12.30pm as eager players who ordered them promptly came and collected their decks.

These new deck owners went off to play with their new decks. Booster packs were also bought in a jiffy. Our first major hit of the day was a SR Louise & Siesta from Zero no Tsukaima booster. Congrats hitsu on your foil pull!

Next, one of our junior players Victor came by and bought his booster packs. 10 packs of Nanoha boosters later and he pulled a RR Teana, RR Shin Sonic Fate and RR Ace of Ace Nanoha! What amazing pulls! His friend who bought 5 F/SN boosters also scored two RRs! Lucky lucky!

1pm slowly ticked by and although there is a total turn out of around 15-20 players, there is only a participating number of 5. Sadly, the tourney was cancelled, partly due to lack of players. However, the games continued! And so did the pulls!

And here is our champion pull of the day. With just an initial purchase of two booster packs for Nanoha, Ah Fa scored not one, but TWO SPs in a row. I can only say that i’m extremely impressed with his luck as there were still 30 packs back when he pulled those. Congratulations on your great pull!

Passerbys and traders came by and took a look. Some purchased a few booster packs but left prompty after.  Some took a while to look at the games and see how the game plays. Unfortunately, none of them asked where we were from nor where they can order more of these cards.

Finally at an encore time of 6pm, we started packing up. With only one uncollected deck and a few spare boosters left, it was a good first time for us all, organisors and players. We managed to pick up more orders as interested parties begin picking up the game.

We left for dinner when our resident F/SN player decides to open some packs to try his luck and guess what he got?

Look at that million dollars smile!

Who wouldn’t? With a RRR King of Knights Saber and RR Shirou, it’s just the first step he needed for his King of Knights deck! Big pat on the back to bj0rn for his great pulls! And guess what? That RRR was sitting on the table all along as it’s the display pack!

Finally, to end off, i would like to thank those who have joined us at this day at SMU and we had loads of fun. Day of epic pulls, great gameplay and a great first step for players in Singapore.
