News: WS World Grand Prix 2009- The Finale Part 1

December 25, 2009 in News by Mycstea

World Grand Prix 2009 by Bushiroad is dawning upon the Singapore and Malaysian representatives and i’m going to blog about the entire proceedings of the event throughout my stay in Japan.

First, we would like to introduce the players themselves! Read more to find out!

arkai

Kai Che, Ah Kai, or arkaile. No he’s not an LB fan… yet

Singapore Representative: Koh Kai Che
Age: 20
WS Notable Achievements:
- 3rd Place Singapore WS League Season 1
- 2nd Place World Grand Prix 2009 (Singapore leg)

A cool and collected player, Mr Koh, or Ah Kai to most, is a friendly and well liked player in the region. He is known to produce decks of consistant defiance (in other words, Tsundere lol) but somehow manages to survive in the top leagues.

Currently he is planning to build a Nagato Yuki deck for WGP 2009 and let us hope that his kizuna with Chihara Minorin will bless him with luck at the finals (already shows promise with both RRR in possession).

chris

Chris, with the million dollar smile

Malaysian Representative: Chee Shi Feng Chris
Age: 24
WS Notable Achievements:
- 2nd Place World Grand Prix 2009 (Malaysian leg)

Chee Shi Feng Chris, or Ah Chris, is a player with a Kawaii smile! He is a player who crosses borders to and fro Singapore and Malaysia playing fields. With rich experience, some of his notable decks include Ami Mami Twins Deck (which he won 2nd place with in WGP09 Malaysia Leg) and Kagami Tsukasa Twins deck (yet another pair of twins).

For WGP09, i have heard that he will be attending with a Shining Force Red deck… Totally no lolis and twins… i must be hearing things.

That concludes part 1 of the entry for the event. All jokes aside, let us wish them good luck going against the representatives of Hong Kong and Japan (which reminds me of Elite Four…cue: Pokemon music).

I will also be providing pictures of the WS loot from Comic Market 77 (hopefully we can assemble enough cards) so until then, ciao!
